Lemon BarsView Photo3/4 cup butter 1 1/2 cups flour 1/3 cup powdered sugar 4 eggs 2 cups sugar 4 tablespoons flour 1 teaspoon baking powder dash salt 6 tablespoons lemon juice
Cream together butter, 1 1/2 cup flour, and powdered sugar. Pat in a 13x9x2 inch baking pan. Bake 18 minutes at 350 F or 325 F if using a glass pan. Beat together the rest of the ingredients and pour over crust. Bake an additional 25 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. 1-3 of 34 reviews Next >> Would make this again. These turned out very good. Although I think I will bake for 15 min.next time. I overdid the ends a bit, but I cut them off my myself and gave the rest with my Christmas cookies. These actually turned out perfectly, as the recipe stands, so I gave it four stars. The whole thing turned out moist, flaky and perfect. The prep time was so short, I couldn't beleive it went so fast! Like 5 minutes. Only personal preference kept me from giving it five stars. I like a very tart lemon taste, and this was extremely sweet, almost too sweet, especially with the powdered sugar on top. I will look for a recipe next time where there is more lemon and less sugar. e
