Snowball Cookies

1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups flour
1/2 cup chopped pecans
additional powdered sugar

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla until fully mixed. Add flour with salt to creamed mixture, blend throughly. Add nuts and mix well. Chill dough for 1 hour. Preheat oven to 400F. Shape into 1-inch balls and bake 8-10 minutes. Do not brown. Cool, then roll in powdered sugar.

Would make this again.
these were easy to make and good to not to sweet which is good for children.I like the fact you dont need eggs for this recipe and yes i would make them again well i just did their in the chillin process and my kids and i cant wait.

Would make this again.
I originally used this same recipe for years while living in Connecticut, and lost it recently. I found yours on this website and will make them again this Christmas. It is a simple, yet very delicious recipe. They melt in your mouth. My family and friends and co-workers have loved me making them over the years.
